Bus update, a few days after the fact: We glued it and screwed it and the floor is done. ð Well, until after we complete the build and put the final flooring down in the open areas. That took a LOT more time than we expected. But it feels solid and makes the ride a bit quieter. Now Randy is designing the bed frame, which will go over the water tank and the water heater. Plus there will be lots of under-bed storage and possibly a pull-out table that extends out the back door for cooking on. Mattresses arrive today. I say we chuck the camping stuff in and head out!!
| “Go in damnit!! Even though we had a good idea where the uni-strut was, we forgot to measure where the subfloor screws were. ðĪĶðŧ♀️ Randy hit a fair amount of metal and threw away a fair amount of screws. ð We were supposed to work two drills at once. But I chickened out cause I know there are limits to my patience. ð | |
| We forgot to get the weights ready so we scrambled and grabbed anything and everything heavy. Buckets of water worked really well. | |
| Almost done! Forgot to get a pic of it completed. ð But I posted one before we glued and screwed and it still looks like that but with screws in it, of course. | |
| Yay me! I remembered to take pics measuring where the uni-strut is BEFORE we covered it all! ð Sometimes I’m wicked smaht! Other times I look for my phone while talking on it. ðĪŠ | |
| It’s like watching paint dry. How long does latex take to cure? We painted the fronts and backs like two weeks ago and they are still sticking together. ð | |
